About The Position

For more than 60 years, Heidt Veterinary Hospital has proudly served the pets and families of Lima, Ohio with compassionate, high quality veterinary care. As a full service small animal hospital, we combine modern medicine with a welcoming, community focused approach, creating lasting relationships with our clients while providing exceptional care for every patient. The clinic offers a general practice with an average daily patient volume of 15-18 appointments per DVM. The case mix includes wellness care, preventive medicine, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, urgent care, laser therapy, and advanced surgical procedures. The hospital is equipped with digital diagnostics and imaging, an in-house laboratory, surgical suite, dental services, laser therapy, and advanced medical equipment. The team culture is described as collaborative, compassionate, client focused, and committed to delivering outstanding patient care while supporting one another's professional growth.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited university (required)
  • Eligible for veterinary licensure in Ohio

Responsibilities

  • Practice exceptional medicine and surgery with the support of an experienced medical team and modern resources.
  • Provide comprehensive care, from preventive medicine and dentistry to advanced surgery and urgent care.
