About The Position

Calgary North Animal Hospital & 24 Hour Emergency Service is currently recruiting for a Veterinarian to join their team of highly engaged and professional veterinary professionals. In this role, you will manage caseloads that include General Practice, Urgent Care, and Emergency cases. You are expected to collaborate with pet-owners and the support team to provide the best possible care to your patients. The role requires confidence in operating various medical equipment and performing medical procedures such as physical examinations, immunizations, and various surgeries. Requirements

  • A valid DVM from an accredited university, allowing for a full license in Alberta
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues, pet parents and community

Responsibilities

  • Manage caseload that includes; General Practice, Urgent Care and Emergency cases
  • Collaborate with the pet-owner and the support team to provide the best care possible to your patient
  • Operate various medical equipment and performing medical procedures; physical examinations, immunization and various surgeries
  • Work on multiple cases and appointments throughout the shift for small companion animals; canine and feline mostly, and pocket pets
  • Promote team-based medicine practices
  • Coach and mentor student veterinary professionals along the way (seasonal)
