About The Position

Olde Towne Animal Hospital is hiring a full-time experienced Veterinarian to provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care to a variety of animals, including cats, dogs, reptiles, birds, guinea pigs, and more. Olde Towne Animal Hospital is a full-service, AAHA-accredited small animal veterinary hospital located in Southampton, NY. Serving the local community since 1962, we have built an excellent reputation and a loyal, growing client base. Our state-of-the-art facility combines a welcoming, community-focused environment with advanced medical capabilities to support both preventative care and complex case management. As an AAHA-accredited hospital, we meet rigorous standards achieved by only 14% of veterinary practices, reflecting our commitment to high-quality medicine and patient care. We offer comprehensive hospitalization services including intravenous fluid therapy, chemotherapy, and advanced diagnostics. Our in-house IDEXX laboratory provides rapid results, with access to external reference labs for expanded testing including bloodwork, urinalysis, and histopathology. Diagnostic capabilities include digital radiography, electrocardiograms, blood pressure monitoring, dermatologic diagnostics, and Tonovet glaucoma testing. We also provide cardiac and abdominal ultrasound, echocardiography, endoscopy for gastrointestinal disorders, and ultrasound-guided biopsies in collaboration with a board-certified internist. Our surgical services include a wide range of soft tissue procedures such as spays, neuters, cystotomies, foreign body removals, and mass removals including lumpectomies. Orthopedic and advanced procedures are performed by a board-certified surgeon. We feature a brand-new oral surgery suite and maintain high standards of dental care, including full-mouth radiographs and dental staging to support thorough diagnosis and treatment. Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid veterinary license in the state of New York
  • 2+ years of experience working as a clinical veterinarian

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to a variety of animals, including cats, dogs, reptiles, birds, guinea pigs, and more
  • Provide comprehensive surgical care, including a wide range of soft tissue procedures such as spays, neuters, cystotomies, foreign body removals, and mass removals including lumpectomies
  • Provide comprehensive dental care, including full-mouth radiographs and dental staging to support thorough diagnosis and treatment
  • Utilize advanced diagnostics such as digital radiography, electrocardiograms, blood pressure monitoring, dermatologic diagnostics, and Tonovet glaucoma testing
  • Collaborate with a board-certified internist for cardiac and abdominal ultrasound, echocardiography, endoscopy for gastrointestinal disorders, and ultrasound-guided biopsies
