About The Position
Stanwood Veterinarian is a veterinary practice dedicated to supporting the health and well-being of companion animals. The Veterinarian delivers comprehensive care across routine visits, treatment planning, surgery, and preventive medicine. The role guides pet owners through diagnoses and care decisions and works closely with veterinary support staff to provide attentive, safe, and consistent care throughout patients’ visits and recovery.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from an accredited veterinary school.
- Current state veterinary license in good standing, or eligibility to obtain one.
- 1–3 years of hands-on veterinary clinical experience in general-practice small-animal medicine.
- Ability to independently perform routine spays and neuters, dental procedures, and soft-tissue surgery.
- Experience independently monitoring anesthesia and overseeing postoperative recovery.
- Strong communication skills with pet owners and veterinary team members.
- Eligibility to work in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Examine animals, diagnose illnesses, and develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Perform routine surgeries and oversee safe anesthesia and postoperative recovery.
- Administer vaccinations and provide preventive care for companion animals.
- Communicate diagnoses, treatment options, and home-care instructions to pet owners.
- Maintain accurate medical records and collaborate with veterinary support staff.
