About The Position

Pine Bluff Animal Hospital is seeking a full-time Veterinarian to join our team and provide comprehensive medical, surgical, and dental care. Since 1975, Pine Bluff Animal Hospital has been a trusted provider of veterinary care in Morris, Coal City, and the surrounding Illinois communities. As an AAHA-accredited, full-service hospital, we are dedicated to delivering exceptional care for dogs, cats, and exotic pets of all ages and breeds. Our modern facility is equipped with advanced technology, allowing us to provide a comprehensive range of services, including wellness exams, vaccinations, dental care, diagnostics, laser therapy, and both routine and advanced surgical procedures—from spays and neuters to orthopedic surgery and laparoscopic-assisted gastropexy. We have developed strong partnerships with Great Dane breeders, handlers, and rescue groups. Dr. Brian Schmidt is highly skilled in minimally invasive laparoscopic-assisted gastropexy, helping protect at-risk breeds from life-threatening conditions. Pine Bluff Animal Hospital is also a certified PennHIP provider, offering a specialized, non-invasive radiographic technique to evaluate hip joint laxity in dogs as young as four months old. Our facility features an IDEXX in-house lab, digital radiography, ultrasound, and electrocardiogram (EKG) capabilities—ensuring timely, accurate diagnostics and treatment for every patient. As a trusted referral center, Pine Bluff Animal Hospital performs both orthopedic and soft-tissue surgeries for our own patients as well as for other veterinary clinics throughout the region. Our mission is to provide high-quality care in a compassionate manner that is rewarding to our clients, their pets, and our entire staff. “We love what we do… We love who we do it for!”
