About The Position

CareVet of Bethel is seeking a full-time Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) to join their growing practice in Kansas City, Kansas. This role is designed to support professional and personal success with a generous bonus package, six-figure base plus production, paid family leave, personalized 1:1 coaching, and flexible scheduling. The DVM will join a 3-doctor team supported by experienced technicians and staff, focusing on compassionate, high-quality care. The practice offers full-service, high-quality medicine including dental care, wellness, vaccines, ultrasound, and surgery in a calm, comfortable, kid-friendly environment. The ideal candidate works a four-day week with a rotating Saturday, offering a balanced schedule. This opportunity is suitable for new graduates, associates looking to sharpen skills, or experienced veterinarians interested in mentoring and leading.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree required
  • Licensure in the state/s candidate will be working
  • Ability to show compassion to both pets and their owners
  • Outstanding dexterity in handling animals while performing precise tasks
  • Ability to react quickly and make decisions under pressure about the wellbeing of an animal
  • Strong fondness and understanding of animals
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of animal behavior
  • Ability to use medical technologies during diagnosis, research and surgery of animals

Responsibilities

  • Examine animals to assess their health and diagnose problems
  • Treat and dress wounds
  • Perform surgery on animals
  • Test for and vaccinate against diseases
  • Operate medical equipment, such as x-ray machines
  • Advise animal owners about general care, medical conditions, and treatments
  • Prescribe medication
  • Work closely in collaboration with team members to provide high quality care
