About The Position

PRCKC is seeking a compassionate, adaptable Veterinarian (DVM) to join their team. This role is ideal for a veterinarian who enjoys variety, values mission-driven work, and thrives in a collaborative, high-impact environment. Our veterinarians rotate through multiple service areas, including wellness, high-quality high-volume spay/neuter (HQHVSN), dentals, urgent care, and mobile outreach. This role offers variety in practice across multiple service lines, mission-driven impact serving underserved communities and reducing barriers to care, a collaborative culture with strong technician and support staff, growth opportunities in surgery, dentals, and community medicine, and flexible scheduling.

Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) from an accredited veterinary school.
• Current Missouri veterinary license in good standing (or ability to obtain).
• Minimum 5 years of clinical veterinary experience.
• Strong clinical and surgical skills (spay/neuter experience preferred but not required).
• Commitment to high-quality, high-volume care models.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving environment.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Commitment to access-to-care veterinary medicine.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum 2–3 years of leadership or supervisory experience.
• Experience in high-volume spay/neuter, shelter medicine, or nonprofit veterinary practice.
• Spay/neuter experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical care across service areas, including wellness and preventive care, spay/neuter surgery (HQHVSN model), dental procedures, urgent care services, and mobile clinic services in the community.
• Rotate between departments based on organizational needs and individual skillset.
• Perform physical exams, diagnostics, treatment planning, and client education.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records.
• Collaborate with veterinary technicians, assistants, and support staff to ensure efficient workflow.
• Support a positive, respectful, and team-oriented culture.
