About The Position
Genoa Animal Hospital is seeking a part-time veterinarian to join their team. This role offers a flexible schedule, a robust caseload, and the support needed to practice high-quality medicine while maintaining work-life balance. The position involves a mix of preventive care, sick-patient appointments, urgent care, dentistry, diagnostics, soft-tissue surgery, and emergency stabilization during business hours. Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine or Veterinary Medical Doctor degree, or equivalent, from an accredited university.
- Current or eligible veterinary license in the State of Illinois.
- Current or eligible DEA registration, when applicable.
- Compassionate, client-centered approach to veterinary medicine.
- Strong communication and client-education skills.
- Commitment to maintaining high medical and ethical standards.
- Ability to manage a varied general-practice caseload.

Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, comprehensive veterinary care to pets.
- Manage a caseload including preventive and wellness care, sick-patient appointments, urgent care, dentistry, diagnostics, soft-tissue surgery, spay and neuter procedures, and emergency stabilization during regular business hours.
- Utilize state-of-the-art equipment for diagnostics, dentistry, surgery, and laser therapy.
- Collaborate with a supportive team of approximately three support staff members per veterinarian.
- Educate clients and help them make informed decisions about their pets' care.
- Contribute to a positive and supportive team culture.
- Engage in continued learning and professional growth.
