About The Position

The hospital features a modern design with a glass-enclosed surgical suite, reflecting a commitment to transparency. They practice quality medicine with advanced equipment, including digital radiography, ultrasound, and upgraded IDEXX diagnostics. The practice focuses on 100% small animals with a small percentage of exotics, offering individualized patient care with manageable appointment times (7-10 patients per day, 30-minute wellness/sick appointments, and one-hour complex case appointments). They partner with a local board-certified surgeon for advanced procedures performed in-house. The culture is collaborative, built on communication, kindness, and longevity, with many long-term team members. They are actively involved in the community and support local rescue organizations. Requirements

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree.
• Compassionate and client-focused approach.
• Ability to practice quality medicine with advanced equipment.
• Willingness to work with a paper-light workflow using Cornerstone and PetDesk communications.
• Ability to see approximately 7-10 patients per day.
• Comfortable with 30-minute wellness and sick appointments, and one-hour complex case appointments.
• New graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Must be able to work a part-time schedule of approximately 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional medical care to small animals and a small percentage of exotics.
• Conduct patient examinations, diagnose illnesses, and develop treatment plans.
• Perform surgical procedures and assist with advanced soft tissue and orthopedic procedures.
• Utilize digital radiography, ultrasound, and advanced diagnostics for patient care.
• Manage appointment schedules effectively, including 30-minute wellness/sick appointments and one-hour complex case appointments.
• Communicate with clients about patient care, treatment options, and preventative measures.
• Maintain accurate patient records using Cornerstone and PetDesk communications.
• Collaborate with the veterinary team, including experienced leadership and a Certified Mentor.
• Participate in community involvement and charitable initiatives with local rescue organizations.
