About The Position
Stone House Animal Hospital in Topeka is a fast-paced, long-standing practice that has served the community for over 20 years. We operate on a walk-in model, blending general practice with urgent and emergency care—no appointments, just a team that’s ready to handle whatever comes through the door. If you enjoy variety, problem-solving, and staying sharp, this is the kind of medicine that keeps things interesting. The clinic is a GP/ER companion animal practice with an average daily patient volume of ~20/day and a support staff ratio of 3:1. The case mix includes wellness, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care. The clinic is equipped with digital X-ray, ultrasound, in-house labs, a surgical suite, and a dental suite. The team culture is collaborative, experienced, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- DVM/VMD (or equivalent) from an accredited university.
- Licensed (or eligible) in Kansas.
- New graduates are welcome.
Responsibilities
- Handle a variety of cases including wellness, surgery, dentistry, and urgent care.
- Work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
- Collaborate with a team of skilled technicians, dedicated CSRs, and supportive leadership.
- Practice high-quality medicine with medical autonomy.
- Adapt to a walk-in model where no two days are the same.
