About The Position

Montpelier Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Medical Director to lead its three-doctor team. The practice is undergoing expansion and modernization, and the ideal candidate will spearhead this growth. The role offers the opportunity to develop specific areas of medicine such as rehabilitation, acupuncture, or advanced dentistry, with the practice willing to invest in these initiatives. The position includes a caseload ranging from wellness and dentistry to general surgery and senior medicine, with access to X-ray, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory. The work schedule is a five-day week with no weekends, no on-call duties, and no late nights, providing a genuine say in future practice operations.

Requirements

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an accredited institution.
Valid veterinary license in the state of Virginia.
Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience.
Interest in leadership, mentorship, and practice growth.
