Veterinarian - Medical Director
About The Position
Montpelier Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Medical Director to lead its three-doctor team. The hospital is undergoing expansion and modernization, and the Medical Director will play a key role in this development. The role offers the opportunity to invest in and build specific areas of veterinary medicine such as rehabilitation, acupuncture, or advanced dentistry. The position includes access to X-ray, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory, with a diverse caseload ranging from wellness and dentistry to general surgery and senior medicine. The schedule is a five-day week with no weekends, on-call, or late nights, and the Medical Director will have a significant influence on future practice decisions.
Requirements
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or VMD degree from an accredited institution
- Valid veterinary license in the state of Virginia
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
- Interest in leadership, mentorship, and practice growth
