About The Position

Vetco Total Care Hospital Medical Leaders are responsible for ensuring the highest level of patient care and client experience, driving continuous improvement in clinical skills, and fostering a supportive, respectful, and collaborative work culture. They also review hospital P&L and collaborate with medical and operations field leaders to enhance hospital performance, efficiency, and care quality. Vetco Total Care hospitals are equipped with advanced technology, including cloud-based practice management software, digital and dental x-ray, Idexx, Butterfly iQ+ handheld ultrasound, Vetology Radiograph Interpretation AI, VMED Vet-Dop2 Doppler Blood Pressure System, and VETSCAN IMAGYST, enabling comprehensive care. This includes routine, diagnostic, and complex procedures such as radiographs, ultrasounds, dental extractions and prophylaxis, spays/neuters, abdominal exploratory, and mass removals. The role offers opportunities for professional growth through paid continued education and leadership training, allowing for autonomous medical practice and the utilization of full experience and skills. Hospital Medical Leaders build relationships with pet parents, model respect and empathy, and receive support from local medical directors and a team of licensed veterinary technicians and assistants. The position also offers flexible schedules, open time off, no noncompetes, and no on-call shifts to support work-life balance.

Requirements

  • Must be a licensed Veterinarian
  • Proficiency in routine, diagnostic, and complex veterinary procedures
  • Demonstrated leadership skills

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the highest level of patient care and client experience

  • Review hospital P&L
  • Partner with medical and operations field leaders to drive hospital performance, efficiency and exceptional care quality
  • Deliver the highest standards of care, including routine, diagnostic and complex procedures such as radiographs and ultrasounds, dental extractions and prophylaxis, spays/neuters, abdominal exploratory, and mass removals
  • Practice true autonomous medicine, utilizing all experience and skills
  • Build relationships with pet parents and model respect and empathy
