About The Position

Animal Emergency Hospital of Gainesville provides urgent and critical care to pets in the Gainesville, GA community. Our dedicated emergency team delivers high-quality medicine in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. We value clear communication, teamwork, and continuous learning to ensure exceptional outcomes for patients and clients alike. We are currently seeking an Emergency Veterinarian for a 30-hour/week benefits-eligible schedule. Part-time options are also available for those seeking fewer hours. We are also happy to consider candidates interested in overnight-weekends only with holiday-focused schedules. We are flexible in building a schedule that supports your preferred work style. This facility provides urgent care and emergency outpatient services for pets on a walk-in basis. The practice type is ER, and you'll triage, stabilize, and treat a wide range of emergency and critical care cases. The average daily patient volume is 15-20. The support staff ratio is 2 per DVM during the week and weekends, and 4 per DVM. The facility offers advanced diagnostics, in-house lab capabilities, Butterfly and traditional ultrasound, Idexx in-house point of care blood analyzers, digital radiography, carry antivenom in-house due to the frequency of snake bite cases, and utilize monoclonal antibodies for the treatment of parvo. They also perform soft tissue surgery and have a well-trained technical staff. The team culture is collaborative, teaching-focused, high-touch, friendly, and low drama.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM/VMD) or equivalent degree from an accredited university (required)
