About The Position
Portland Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Care in Portland, Maine is seeking a residency-trained or board-certified Veterinary Criticalist to join their dynamic team. PVESC has dedicated over 30 years to serving the community and is committed to providing exceptional veterinary care and compassion to pets and their owners. The facility is staffed by a team of talented professionals who are passionate about animal health and well-being, offering a supportive and collaborative work environment where continuous learning and professional development are encouraged. The Criticalist will employ their expertise in emergency and critical care to provide top-notch medical care to patients in their most vulnerable moments, utilizing cutting-edge technologies and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes. The hospital is equipped with advanced technology including color-flow ultrasounds, endoscopy, digital radiography, a full on-site laboratory, cold laser, PulseVet shockwave, PRP & stem cell therapy, CT scanner, and MRI, in addition to a full array of critical care services and monitoring modalities. The team is transitioning into a new 42,000 sq ft hospital set to open in late 2026, offering an opportunity to work with a talented team and best-in-class technology to shape the future of veterinary medicine.
