About The Position
Noah’s Ark Animal Clinics is seeking a full-time Vet Tech Assistant for their Florence location. This role serves to assist doctors and staff in providing comprehensive and affordable pet healthcare. The ideal candidate is a team player who is reliable, a strong communicator, and can remain calm in stressful situations. The position requires a flexible schedule, working four 10-hour shifts, including every other Saturday. Noah's Ark Animal Clinics is a well-established, appointment-based small animal practice with five state-of-the-art clinics in Greater Cincinnati, offering services like laser-assisted surgery, ultrasound, digital x-ray, and in-house diagnostics.
Requirements
- Reliable.
- Strong communicator.
- Able to keep calm in stressful situations.
- Must be able to withstand unpleasant odors and noises.
- Must be able to be on your feet for long periods.
- Able to lift at least 25lbs.
- May be exposed to bites, scratches, animal waste, and potentially contagious disease.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a veterinary technician or veterinary assistant to assist doctors and staff.
- Serve customers.
- Animal restraint.
- Triage of incoming patients.
- Collection and analysis of lab samples.
- Administration of medications.
- Effective communication of treatment plans with clients.
