Requirements

Comfortable handling and restraining dogs and cats safely
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Dependable, positive attitude, and eager to learn

Nice To Haves

Minimum 1 year of veterinary assistant experience preferred
Experience with venipuncture and surgical prep is a plus

Responsibilities

Assist veterinarians and technicians with examinations, treatments, and outpatient appointments
Restrain patients safely and compassionately during exams and procedures
Collect patient histories and communicate effectively with pet owners
Prepare exam rooms and maintain treatment area cleanliness and organization
Support patient care by assisting with medication administration and treatments as directed
Assist with venipuncture, sample collection, and diagnostic procedures when appropriate
Prepare patients for surgery and assist with surgical prep and recovery
Monitor hospitalized patients and ensure comfort and cleanliness
Educate clients on basic at-home care and discharge instructions
Maintain accurate medical records and support daily hospital workflow
