Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred in engineering, operations, supply chain, business, or a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in a Distribution Center, Manufacturing, Operations or Supply Chain environment
  • 3+ years of experience in continuous improvement, lean manufacturing, or operational excellence roles.
  • Demonstrated experience leading kaizen events and delivering measurable operational improvements.
  • Ability to travel nationally up to 10% .

  • Strong facilitation, coaching, and influence skills across all organizational levels.
  • Experience in project management

Responsibilities

  • Own and deploy VES across the Romeoville Distribution Center, ensuring consistent application of principles, tools, and behaviors.
  • Lead kaizen events, value stream mapping, problem solving, and standard work to improve operational performance.
  • Align daily management systems, tiered accountability, and site performance metrics to business goals.
  • Build internal capability by enabling leaders to independently lead and sustain continuous improvement.
  • Act as a trusted thought partner to the Site Director and Operations Leadership Team.
  • Partner with site leadership to identify priority value streams and execute end‑to‑end improvement initiatives.
  • Sustain improvements through standard work, visual management, and leader routines; track and communicate results.
  • Serve as the site connection to the VES Community of Practice and collaborate with other VES leaders and the VES Office.
