About The Position

Universal Alloy Corporation (UAC) is seeking dedicated individuals to launch a career in aerospace manufacturing. As a Vertical Heat Treat Operator, you will play a vital role in operating ovens to treat high-strength structural components used in aerospace applications worldwide. This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to a mission that literally helps the world take flight.

Requirements

• Manufacturing experience preferred
• Strong communication and decision-making skills
• Ability to operate various machines
• Physically able to stand, bend, reach, climb, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
• All UAC employees must know and follow job safety procedures, attend required health and safety trainings, proactively promote safety at work, and promptly report actual and potential accidents and injuries. Employees must understand the PPE and wear it properly.
• This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) which requires U.S. person status. ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. �Green Card Holder�) Political Asylee, or Refugee.

Responsibilities

• Operate heat treat ovens for specified metallurgical practices
• Build loads for upender
• Document time, temperature, and weights of loads
• Understand lift/tower, furnace/oven, and quench/rinse
• Inspect products for major defects
• Promote and practice workplace safety
• Perform additional duties as assigned
