Verification Engineer II
About The Position
HL Mando America Corporation has an opening for the position of Verification Engineer II. This role is responsible for the verification and validation of automotive steering systems, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and manual bench testing. The engineer will participate in project planning, create test cases and plans, verify embedded software quality, and adhere to industry standards. The position involves preparing technical discussions, executing test scenarios, facilitating regression testing, and debugging defects. The role also includes analyzing requirements, developing verification plans, and supporting documentation and reporting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign academic equivalent in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
- Plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation including Test Engineer, Systems Engineer, or related experience.
- Position requires 1 year of experience with HIL & bench testing, dSPACE, MATLAB, and SIMULINK.

Responsibilities
- Responsible for verification and validation of automotive steering systems including HIL (Hardware-in-the-Loop) and manual bench testing.
- Participate in project planning team meetings to determine verification strategies.
- Create test cases for system and software requirements.
- Create system and component integration test plans.
- Verify embedded software quality.
- Adhere to standards such as ISO 26262, ASPICE, and IATF 16949.
- Prepare materials for technical discussions with company management as well as customers.
- Execute test scenarios and collaborate to ensure test coverage.
- Facilitate and create regression test plans when changes are processed.
- Perform manual bench testing and support to develop dSPACE test scripts.
- Maintain traceability between requirements, tests, and results.
- Create defects when required from failed test results.
- Participate in debug of defects found during verification.
- Analyze requirements and develop detailed verification plans, test cases, and methodologies to improve product quality.
- Support verification documentation and reporting.
