About The Position

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Verification and Validation (V&V) Engineer to lead the development and execution of comprehensive testing strategies for modular, transit case-based, and vehicle-mounted sensor and processor systems. This role balances high-level planning with hands-on technical execution, focusing on the creation of automated test frameworks, formal protocols, and rigorous data analysis for both prototype experimentation and formal qualification. The V&V Engineer will work under the guidance of the Assistant Product Manager for Mission Package, serving as a technical focal point for ensuring system requirements are met through testing for performance, suitability, and effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • A minimum of four (4) years of experience in the Test and Evaluation (T&E) field, specifically supporting DoD or ruggedized industrial system testing.
  • Expertise in writing executable code for test automation and automated data processing.
  • Direct experience developing Verification Test Protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Strong technical proficiency in the Radio Frequency (RF) spectrum, including antennas and communications equipment.
  • Familiarity with the structure of DoD T&E documentation (e.g., TEMP/TES, Test Plans, Test Reports).
  • TS/SCI clearance requirement (able to process, US citizenship is a must).

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience within a Department of Defense Acquisition System (DAS) program or Middle Tier Acquisition (MTA) pathway is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain formal Verification Test Protocols (VTP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and detailed Test Plans to ensure consistent and repeatable testing.
  • Configure, operate, and troubleshoot complex test equipment and instrumentation, particularly in Radio Frequency (RF) and communications environments.
  • Meticulously collect, manage, and process all test data, ensuring data integrity, traceability, and accurate documentation.
  • Provide real-time data analysis during test execution to ensure test objectives are being met and identify potential anomalies or failures.
  • Draft comprehensive test reports that summarize performance, identify deficiencies, and provide data-driven recommendations for engineering remediation.
  • Provide input into the systems engineering documentation, such as requirements, test verification methods, and evaluating system models.
  • Design and write executable code (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or C++) to automate complex test sequences, specifically targeting Radio Frequency (RF) performance and signal integrity.
  • Build automated data acquisition frameworks to streamline the collection of telemetry and sensor data during high-tempo test events.
  • Develop software tools for automated data analysis, enabling rapid assessment of system suitability and effectiveness against technical KPIs.
  • Ensure the integrity and traceability of all collected data, maintaining meticulous records for audit and qualification purposes.
