About The Position

16VC backs bold founders building category-defining companies across AI & Machine Learning, Web3 & Decentralization, Deep Tech, FinTech, Creator Economy, and Consumer Tech. They invest $250K–$2M per check via rolling SPVs and support founders through Capital, Studio, and Fellowship offerings. The role of Venture Partner is a senior, high-impact position suited for operators, founders, angels, or ecosystem leaders deeply embedded in AI & frontier tech. This role is flexible and performance-driven, with upside participation in deals originated and supported by the partner.

Requirements

• Founded, scaled, or held senior roles in venture-backed startups
• Deep exposure to AI, SaaS, Web3, FinTech, or Deep Tech
• Invested as an angel or worked within a VC fund
• Possesses a strong founder and investor network
• Thinks long-term and aligns with 16VC’s thesis
• 5–15 hours per week commitment
• Deal-by-deal involvement
• IC participation as needed

Nice To Haves

• Exited a startup
• Technical depth (engineering, AI, infra, etc.)
• Active in early-stage communities

Responsibilities

• Source high-quality startups across 16VC’s focus sectors
• Leverage your network to generate proprietary deal flow
• Represent 16VC within founder and investor ecosystems
• Conduct diligence (market, product, tech, founder-market fit)
• Prepare investment memos for IC review
• Participate in investment committee discussions
• Provide strategic guidance to portfolio founders
• Help with hiring, GTM strategy, partnerships, and fundraising
• Make customer, talent, and investor introductions
• Strengthen 16VC’s presence in AI & emerging tech communities
• Host roundtables, demo sessions, or founder events
• Contribute thought leadership where relevant
