Alamo Angels Venture Fellow
About The Position
Alamo Angels is seeking an impressively driven intern for their Venture Fellow Program. This program offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the venture capital and angel investing communities. Fellows will work directly with the internal team, expanding their network by meeting industry professionals and startup founders, attending pitch events and startup summits, and gaining insight into internal operations. The fellowship aims to deepen understanding of the VC and Angel communities, develop key presentation and communication skills, and provide technical training in areas such as term sheets, startup analysis, memo writing, and sourcing. This is a paid position located in San Antonio, TX, with the expectation of making an impact from day one.
Requirements
- Must be located in the San Antonio, TX area and able to commute to offices.
- Interested in pursuing a career in startups, venture/angel investing.
- Excellent writing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
- Meticulously detail-oriented.
- Has great interpersonal skills, and enjoys building new relationships.
Responsibilities
- Conducting due diligence on investment opportunities.
- Helping to run operations for events, including monthly hybrid pitch events, hybrid educational workshops, and socials.
- Creating and sending out weekly marketing emails.
- Creating content and posting on social media.
- Event photography.
- Undertaking special research projects.
