Requirements

2–4 years of experience in venture capital, growth equity, private equity, investment banking, management consulting, corporate development, product strategy, or a related analytical role.
Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
Ability to evaluate companies, markets, and technologies using structured, first-principles thinking.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong relationship-building instincts and comfort engaging with founders.
High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple workstreams at once.
Intellectual curiosity and interest in AI, semiconductors, infrastructure, and frontier technologies.
Self-starter mentality with strong ownership and follow-through.
Full-time role based in San Francisco.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience at a venture capital or technology investment firm.
Experience evaluating technical products, infrastructure companies, AI startups, or semiconductor-related businesses.
Familiarity with startup fundraising, cap tables, term sheets, and venture financing dynamics.
Strong network across founders, operators, investors, or technical communities.
Experience writing investment memos or presenting recommendations to senior decision-makers.
Technical background or demonstrated ability to understand technical markets quickly.

Responsibilities

Identify and build relationships with promising startups across AI, semiconductors, infrastructure, developer tools, and adjacent sectors.
Meet with founders, understand their products and markets, and help assess founder-market fit.
Conduct market, product, technical, customer, competitive, and financial diligence on prospective investments.
Build models, analyze unit economics, evaluate business models, and support scenario analysis for investment decisions.
Prepare clear, structured investment memos that synthesize the opportunity, risks, market dynamics, and key diligence findings.
Help manage diligence timelines, data rooms, legal coordination, closing checklists, and internal decision-making processes.
Work with portfolio companies on fundraising, customer introductions, hiring, market positioning, and strategic projects.
Leverage SemiAnalysis Capital’s research-driven approach to develop investment theses around emerging technology markets.
Attend events, conferences, founder meetings, and technical communities to expand deal flow and market coverage.
