About The Position

The Vendor Service Manager is responsible for overseeing all third‑party service providers supporting facilities operations at the Amgen Ohio site. This role ensures full service‑agreement compliance, manages vendor performance, conducts quality audits, and drives communication alignment across stakeholders. In addition to vendor oversight, the Vendor Service Manager provides leadership for Workplace Experience (Wx) functions, including coordination of onsite experience activities, communication, event support, space needs, and customer-facing service delivery. This position requires strong relationship management, operational discipline, and the ability to support both vendor performance and workplace experience initiatives in a fast‑paced, regulated environment.

Requirements

  • Experience managing vendors, service contracts, or third‑party suppliers in facilities or operational environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook and Excel; ability to quickly learn new digital tools.
  • Ability to navigate fast‑paced environments and manage multiple operational responsibilities simultaneously.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents, SOPs, and facility procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in GMP or GxP‑regulated environments.
  • Experience with CMMS (Maximo preferred).
  • Prior exposure to Workplace Experience or hospitality support roles.
  • Knowledge of building systems or facility operations.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary liaison between JLL, client, and vendors; manage Service Agreements, KPIs, SLAs, and contract updates.
  • Conduct Quality Audits to verify vendor compliance with GMP, EHS, safety requirements, SOPs, and regulations; document findings and corrective actions.
  • Lead Vendor Qualification processes and maintain audit-ready documentation for inspections and regulatory reviews.
  • Provide leadership and oversight of Workplace Experience activities including onboarding, visitor hosting, space readiness, and hospitality touchpoints.
  • Oversee room readiness, event coordination, site communications, and workplace engagement in partnership with Facilities Operations.
  • Drive cross-functional alignment across Facilities, Sourcing, EHSS, Engineering, Quality, and Finance teams.
  • Monitor daily vendor activity to ensure safe, accurate work completion; address issues independently and represent JLL during facility reviews.
  • Track and report KPIs, SLAs, performance trends, and audit results; identify cost-saving and service improvement opportunities.
  • Promote safety culture across vendors and operations; identify hazards, ensure remediation, and verify permits, training, and PPE compliance.
  • Ensure accurate Maximo work order documentation from creation through closeout; coordinate with planners and schedulers on prioritization and execution.
