Vendor Operations Analyst

CommandLink
$80,000 - $120,000

About The Position

CommandLink's vendor ecosystem is the backbone of how we deliver connectivity and services to our customers, and this role will own the relationship between CommandLink and our vendors from the data side up. Today our team manages a large volume of vendor information that constantly needs to be tracked, verified, and updated across our systems, starting with our Quote Tool, which holds the most complete picture we have of each vendor and client. Keeping that tool accurate and current is critical to how the whole business operates. We're looking for a Vendor Operations Analyst who doesn't just plan around the data, but who gets into the platform and does the work: tracking down information, entering it into the system, and analyzing it to surface insights. You'll work hands on with vendor and platform data every day, and you'll be a key point of contact for vendors, Sales, and other internal stakeholders. This isn't a deeply technical role, but it does require someone analytical, comfortable navigating systems and tools, and confident enough to bring a commercial mindset to every conversation.

Requirements

  • Experience with Sales and/or purchasing/buyer functions; strong Excel skills.
  • A hands on, analytical profile: comfortable working directly with platform data, not just planning around it, but tracking it down and entering it into the system yourself.
  • A commercial mindset; you're just as comfortable talking to vendors as you are to Sales or other internal stakeholders.
  • Proactive by nature; you go get the information you need rather than waiting for it to come to you.
  • A self starter who thrives in fast paced environments; startup or high growth company experience is a plus.
  • Comfortable learning and navigating systems and tools quickly. No deep technical or engineering background required, but you should understand how the platform works and why.

Nice To Haves

  • Background in telecom, IT services, or B2B SaaS pricing structures.

Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain the Quote Tool, rate cards, and building lists/zip codes, making sure they always hold the most complete and accurate vendor and client information possible, and work toward a single source of truth for all vendor data.
  • Acquire vendor information (building lists, rate cards, API capabilities, contact and escalation matrices), load it into the Platform, SharePoint, Quote Tool, and Executed Contracts folder, and keep budgetary versus firm quoting set up and up to date.
  • Analyze platform data to identify trends and generate insights (win rates, where and why we're losing deals by customer, region, or vendor), build vendor scorecards, report on quote tool results, and track KPIs.
  • Partner with Sales and Regional Pricing Analysts to shape strategy by region, for example onboarding more vendors, adjusting portfolio in a given country, or using budgetary quoting.
  • Work with the Dev team on vendor API onboarding and maintenance, test serviceability and pricing, run monthly proactive testing once new integrations go live, and make sure key vendors' APIs are running correctly.
  • Serve as the point of contact for US vendor escalations, platform escalations, and vendor portal access for new joiners, and support MSA revisions and adjustments as needed.
  • Lead the project to have vendors submit their own onboarding updates, building lists, and rate cards directly.
  • Takes on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to support the success of the team and organization.

Benefits

  • Generous Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage for full-time employees
  • Flexible time off
  • 401k to help you save for the future
  • Fun events at cool locations
  • Free DoorDash lunches on Fridays
  • Employee referral bonuses to encourage the addition of great new people to the team
