About The Position

The Vendor Master Data Analyst is responsible for the creation, governance, and ongoing maintenance of supplier records within the company’s ERP system. This role ensures data integrity, compliance with corporate policies, and alignment with regulatory requirements. The position requires advanced analytical skills, sound judgment, and the ability to develop, implement, and enhance processes that support strategic sourcing, procurement efficiency, and financial reporting accuracy.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Supply Chain, or related field (or equivalent experience) and/or 3+ years of experience in vendor/supplier master data management or a related analytical/financial role
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, complex formulas, and data analysis tools)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large datasets and provide actionable insights
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry, analysis, and reporting.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and make informed decisions within established guidelines
  • Experience with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion or similar)

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and enforce standards for vendor/supplier master data, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies and applicable regulations
  • Create new vendor records and update existing records in accordance with established approval workflows and controls
  • Conduct regular audits of the supplier master file to identify, analyze, and resolve discrepancies or duplicate accounts
  • Responsible for preparing and analyzing reports to determine which suppliers meet the deactivation requirements and should be deactivated
  • Approve vendors who register via the Fusion Supplier Self-Registration link and grant access to the Supplier Portal as applicable
  • Use advanced Microsoft Excel skills to perform data analysis, prepare reports, and generate insights that support procurement and finance decision-making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Procurement, Accounts Payable, Compliance, and Finance) to evaluate and improve vendor master processes and policies
  • Interpret, validate, and analyze supplier information, including tax, banking, and compliance documentation, to mitigate financial and operational risks
  • Lead or participate in system enhancement projects related to supplier master data, including testing, documentation, and training initiatives
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive supplier and company information while exercising sound judgment in vendor onboarding and changes
  • Serve as subject matter expert on vendor master data best practices and compliance requirements, providing guidance and training to internal stakeholders
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, SOX compliance, and audit requirements.
