Building Our Wireless World, Together®. We’re looking for a Vendor Manager. The ultimate duty of this role is to be the business owner for various Vendor Partner lines. You are responsible for understanding vendor needs and strategic objectives, building a business plan around those objectives and then executing a profitable strategy. This position is a hybrid work schedule: Three days in the office and two days from home.

Requirements

  • Must have a growth mindset, be persistent, organized, a self-starter, and possess a high-level of critical thinking
  • At least two years of Vendor / Supplier Management, Product, Sales or Sales Support experience
  • 4-year college degree or equivalent
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to respond effectively to rapid change
  • High level of organizational skills with multitasking capabilities
  • Combination of documented experience and skills
  • Team player willing to take on new and exciting challenges
  • Ability to communicate effectively and manage workload independently
  • Proven ability of successfully communicating technical, or complicated, products/services
  • Ability to communicate and work with all parts of the organization – e.g., sales, procurement, marketing, senior leadership, and solutions teams
  • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Experience using ERP and CRM software packages to support business operations (Salesforce, SAP, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple vendor product lines and be accountable for sales growth and attainment of profit goals.
  • Own the communication of Vendor Partner business strategy to internal partners (Sales, Procurement, Demand Generation, and Marketing Execution).
  • Ensures that internal partners are in alignment with vendor strategies.
  • Develop B2B go-to market strategies, focused on external communications to the reseller community and internal to the sales organization.
  • Develop and maintain marketing plans that include communication, engagement, incentive, call to action and follow-up for evaluation of success.
  • Define strategic marketing plan objectives and deliverables.
  • Analyze and interpret raw data points to uncover new business opportunities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Provide Vendor Partners with access to new customers.
  • Meet and interact regularly with Vendor Partner reps, management, and executives to make formal presentations on product trends, performance, profitability, and results of product line promotions.
  • Initiate and plan quarterly business reviews for assigned Vendor(s).
  • Work collaboratively with the procurement team to drive market forecasts and manage inventory
  • Work with the Supplier Partner Account Manager to develop promotional programs supported by Vendor Partner co-op funding resulting in product line growth and profitability.
  • Understand and utilize internal and external resources and tools effectively to accomplish strategic plans.
  • Balance needs and goals of vendor with Tessco's goals and initiatives.
  • Provide responsive, collaborative support to Sales, Vendor Partners, and other internal departments at multiple management levels.
