About The Position

Corporate Vendor Management at Charles Schwab & Co. is responsible for implementing a firm-wide, end-to-end vendor management process to maximize vendor performance and value. Corporate Vendor Management is responsible for the sourcing, onboarding, risk assessment, monitoring and offboarding of third parties; and assists Schwab in meeting regulatory and compliance requirements. This position provides operational support to the Supplier Management team. The Supplier Management team consists of supplier onboarding and maintenance, risk assessment, monitoring and offboarding of third parties and the Corporate Affiliate Program. You will be responsible for providing support to the Supplier Management team by providing reporting and excel working files to perform their processes. The position also provides ad hoc reporting, performs system updates and general support as needed. In addition, this position will administer the Secondary Review Program for Supplier Management processes. This program reviews processes and documentation to determine approved procedures are followed. It will include the review of work and reporting to leadership on results.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of vendor management, contracts, and relationship management experience
  • Very strong written and oral communication skills
  • Flexible and adaptable in handling and implementing change
  • Must be a self-motivated individual who grasps concepts quickly, takes proactive ownership of tasks or processes and is a team player
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment with minimal direction, prioritize and multitask independently
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, technical, cross-functional environment and be able to produce with minimal direction
  • Experience building effective relationships
  • Strong analytical, problem solving and data analysis skills
  • Strong Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint required
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • Currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in the financial industry or other regulated environment (risk, compliance or vendor management)
  • Experience with Ariba Risk and/or PeopleSoft

Responsibilities

  • Develop reporting as needed to measure functional statuses and service levels including graphs
  • Update and maintain training documents
  • Maintain and update desktop procedures
  • Represent team on projects as subject matter expert
  • Manage group email boxes maintaining a 48 hour service level
  • Perform research and remediation of third-party data anomalies
  • Run system reports, validate information, and prepare for broader communications
  • Complete special projects and other responsibilities as assigned
