About The Position

As a Vendor Management Analyst, you will support the Market Data Services function by managing day to day vendor relationships, contract administration, and compliance processes across the market data lifecycle; from procurement through distribution, usage, reporting, and audit. You will work closely with Client-facing teams, Partnerships, Finance, Data Engineering, and Data Operations to help ensure compliance controls are followed and continuously improved, gaining hands-on experience with vendor contracts, licensing, and regulatory reporting along the way.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in market data management, compliance, or vendor management.
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, IT, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience working with data vendors (e.g., Platts, Argus, Bloomberg, Reuters, ICE, or similar).
  • Working knowledge of data licensing terms and regulatory frameworks, gained through experience in energy, commodity trading, or financial industries.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Excel, with experience querying and analyzing data across multiple sources.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and engage professionally with external vendors.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Zema Global's data and software platforms or comparable market data management systems.
  • Experience with governance frameworks, compliance audits, or regulatory reporting.
  • Ability to help design or maintain dashboards for tracking compliance metrics and vendor performance.
  • Comfort using AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT) for workflow automation, drafting, and analysis.
  • Professional certifications in business management or the energy, commodity, or financial industries.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain relationships with data vendors, representing Zema Global professionally, and resolve day to day data related issues promptly.
  • Ensure adherence to data licensing agreements, industry regulations, and company policies; prepare and submit compliance reports to exchanges and data vendors.
  • Conduct periodic audits to identify discrepancies or non compliance issues.
  • Support negotiations for new market data contracts and renewals, working closely with senior team members.
  • Monitor email queues for incoming market notices, triaging business-relevant items to the appropriate technical team.
  • Collaborate with Data Engineering, Data Design, and Data Operations to address market changes that may impact business processes.
  • Respond to interdepartmental and client requests for vendor assistance in a timely, professional manner.
  • Coordinate incoming projects, such as new data report development, source changes, and client onboarding.
  • Maintain systems and databases for credential management, vendor contacts, contract metadata, and entitlement tracking, and support dashboards that monitor compliance metrics and vendor performance.
