About The Position

Value Added Distributors is seeking a full-time Vendor Managed Inventory Specialist - Driver to join their team in De Pere, WI. This role involves ensuring customers receive their orders on time and maintaining adequate inventory levels. The position requires a collaborative, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual. The day-to-day activities include monitoring customer stock, analyzing data to predict inventory needs, generating replenishment orders, and providing exceptional customer service. The role also involves data analysis, forecasting inventory needs, identifying supply chain issues, communicating with customer contacts and branch managers, and performing hands-on warehouse responsibilities such as product receiving, shelving, pulling, and delivering. The specialist will also support sales teams in driving revenue and expanding product offerings. Comprehensive training will be provided, with opportunities for cross-training.

Requirements

  • 21+ years of age
  • 2+ years of experience driving in all weather conditions
  • Ability to drive to customer locations (up to 1.5 hours one-way)
  • Valid driver's license (Class D Non-CDL)
  • Clean driving record
  • Ability to drive a van or box truck
  • DOT medical card or the ability to obtain one
  • High school degree or equivalent
  • Ability to safely lift 50 lbs. following proper lifting techniques
  • Ability to wear required PPE
  • Ability to stand/sit for extended periods
  • Ability to work in various environments (office, manufacturing, retail, laboratory, etc.)
  • Basic math skills
  • Proficiency with tape measures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications
  • Ability to type 25+ wpm
  • Experience using an ERP (preferably Epicor)

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with logistics and/or supply chain
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic systems and components

Responsibilities

  • Ensure customers receive their orders on time.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels of all necessary products.
  • Provide exceptional customer service.
  • Monitor customers' stock levels.
  • Analyze data to predict inventory needs.
  • Proactively generate replenishment orders for timely deliveries.
  • Review annual inventory reports with customer contacts.
  • Strategically forecast inventory needs.
  • Identify potential problems or supply chain issues and take proactive steps.
  • Communicate regularly with customer contacts and branch managers to maintain adequate stock levels.
  • Provide on-site support as needed.
  • Assist with product receiving, shelving, pulling, and delivering.
  • Perform general warehouse responsibilities.
  • Support sales teams in executing strategies for driving revenue, expanding products, and creating new solutions.
