Vendor Compliance Consultant

In the role of Vendor Compliance Consultant, you’ll serve as the primary point of contact for medical vendor relationships within the workers compensation program. This individual contributor role is responsible for overseeing vendor performance, ensuring accurate pricing, maintaining compliance, and driving quality outcomes. The Vendor Compliance Consultant collaborates cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure best practices, cost containment, and operational excellence across the medical vendor network.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Strong analytical and data interpretation skills with proficiency in Excel or similar tools
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively across teams
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Finance or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in workers compensation, managed care, or healthcare vendor management
- Experience with medical cost containment, bills review, or utilization review
- Familiarity with workers’ compensation fee schedules and state regulatory requirements
Responsibilities
- Oversee vendor relationships to ensure compliance, accurate pricing, appropriate protocols, and performance metrics are being met through regular audits and performance reviews
- Serve as primary point of contact for vendor inquiries and issue resolution, facilitate meetings and business reviews in order to build and maintain strong vendor relationships
- Perform analysis to identify trends and monitor vendor performance in order to present findings and insight to leadership and key stakeholders
- Participate in RFP process and contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms and compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure best practices and identify process improvement opportunities and lead implementation of solutions
