This role is part of Blue Origin Operations, which is comprised of Integrated Supply Chain, Test Operations, Safety, Quality, and Mission Assurance. This includes Manufacturing and Supply Chain support across all Blue Origin facilities. As part of a hardworking team of Vehicle Transport Operations (VTO) specialists, you will be responsible for coordinating and scheduling all transportation activities. The VTO group interfaces directly with government support agencies, vehicle design, production, launch operations, and other test and operational groups. We put a strong emphasis on teamwork, coordination, and service to support all Blue Origin team needs. This is a hands-on position that requires strong communication, organization, planning, and project management skills. Requirements

  • 2+ years of planning and scheduling experience
  • Experience in over the road heavy haul or oversized load environment preferred
  • Excellent written /verbal communications skills and computer skills
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and acumen to collaborate across various teams
  • Experience identifying, managing, and actioning risks, issues, and opportunities
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, submit, and manage authority having jurisdiction (AHJ) route specific permits for designated routes and hardware configurations
  • Identify, resolve, or escalate construction related impacts affecting transport operations on designated approved routes
  • Coordinate with government support agencies and mission partners as needed to schedule and deconflict transportation of mission critical flight hardware
  • Foster and maintain positive working relationships with government support agencies
  • Develop the transportation operations schedule based on program schedule, customer needs, resource availability, and expected delivery date
  • Maintain an overview of production, test, and launch operations to provide adequate support based on master schedule and critical path
  • Coordinate with production operations, launch operations, facilities, and security teams to ensure successful operations with minimal impact
  • Develop methods to communicate site-wide impacts, schedule, and expectations during transportation operations
  • Provide status of works in progress and communicate any emergent constraints to appropriate parties
  • Work closely with engineering support to maintain work orders for vehicle transportation operations based on master schedule and program requirements
  • Work closely with planning, production control team, and launch operations control to ensure proper management of schedule risks and deconfliction of priorities
  • When schedule recovery is necessary, identify and analyze solutions and bottlenecks to minimize negative impact to program schedule and company milestones
  • Availability to quickly pivot and reschedule over the road transports when the program reediness shifts
