About The Position

Applus+ IDIADA is seeking Driver Operators to support automotive testing. The role involves gathering data to customer specifications across North America and documenting observations clearly and in detail using a Data Acquisition system. Drivers operate vehicles on predefined routes across varied terrain and weather conditions, follow project instructions, and support test preparation and execution in an outdoor environment. The position requires a flexible schedule, including extended hours and weekends, and the ability to drive passenger vehicles for up to eight hours a day.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 7–10 years of licensed driving experience.
• Current, unexpired driver's license.
• Clean driving record for a minimum of 3 years.
• Ability to support test preparation and execution in an outdoor environment.
• Flexible schedule and ability to work extended hours and weekends.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to drive passenger vehicles for up to 8 hours a day.
• Meet workplace health and safety requirements and practices.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working with ADAS features is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out driving services on vehicles in line with customer specifications.
• Drive and operate vehicles on predefined routes across various terrain and weather conditions.
• Inspect vehicles before and after shifts as part of test preparation and wrap-up.
• Operate data acquisition systems to ensure accurate data retrieval.
• Drive safely and comply with traffic regulations.
• Follow instructions provided by the project manager.
• Complete daily reports and other reporting when required by the program manager.
• Maintain all documentation with utmost confidentiality.
• Support data acquisition and use appropriate tagging techniques to document objects, obstacles, and anomalies.
