About The Position

The Tesla Vehicle Technician is a highly skilled flat-rate technician responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining Tesla electric vehicles in accordance with manufacturer standards and safety protocols.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of prior hands-on Tesla experience
  • Strong EV diagnostic and electrical skills
  • Valid driver's license
  • EV Certification from an ETA® approved EV school or Manufacturer Specific.
  • A-Level ASE Certification
  • Experience working with high-voltage electrical systems (due to the nature of electric vehicles).
  • Experience with diagnostic and repair procedures specific to electric vehicles.
  • Experience performing routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Experience using diagnostic software and tools to troubleshoot and repair electric vehicle systems.
  • Experience working with lithium-ion batteries and understanding their safety procedures.
  • Experience interpreting and applying technical service bulletins and wiring diagrams related to electric vehicles.
  • Strong understanding of electric vehicle technology, including batteries, motors, controllers, and charging systems.
  • Ability to diagnose and repair electrical and electronic systems in electric vehicles.
  • Ability to use specialized tools and equipment for electric vehicle maintenance and repair.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic software and interpreting data.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and explain technical information.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to adapt to new technologies and stay updated on the latest advancements in the electric vehicle industry.
  • Commitment to safety procedures and best practices when working with high-voltage systems.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and documentation of repairs and maintenance performed.
  • Knowledge of automotive systems interaction with lithium-ion batteries.
  • Ability to perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.

Responsibilities
