About The Position

LifeLine EMS is hiring an entry-level Vehicle Supply Technician to help keep our life-saving ambulances ready for action. This position requires no prior experience and provides comprehensive training. This role offers invaluable hands-on experience in the emergency medical field, exposure to medical equipment, ambulance operations, and EMS protocols, while building relationships with experienced EMTs and paramedics. This position provides an excellent foundation for understanding the EMS industry from the ground up and can serve as a stepping stone to your future EMT career.

Requirements

  • No prior experience required
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Experience with inventory management systems (Operative IQ preferred)
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends
  • Effective communication and teamwork abilities

Nice To Haves

  • Currently in EMT school or working toward EMT certification

Responsibilities

  • Stock and maintain medical supplies in ambulances using our Operative IQ system
  • Fuel, clean, and prepare vehicles for emergency response
  • Manage inventory and ensure all equipment meets safety standards
  • Work alongside EMTs and paramedics in a fast-paced, meaningful environment
  • Restock all medical and operational supplies in ambulances according to company standards and protocols.
  • Conduct regular inventory checks using Operative IQ, ensuring all items are accounted for and within expiration dates.
  • Accurately document supply usage, shortages, and replenishments in Operative IQ.
  • Order and receive supplies as needed, maintaining par levels for all vehicles.
  • Fuel ambulances and support vehicles as required, ensuring they are ready for deployment at all times.
  • Clean and disinfect vehicle interiors and exteriors, including patient compartments, driver areas, and equipment storage.
  • Remove and properly dispose of biohazardous waste and used materials according to safety protocols.
  • Ensure all vehicles meet safety, cleanliness, and regulatory standards before returning to service.
  • Participate in compliance audits and implement corrective actions as directed.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Collaborate with EMTs, paramedics, and fleet staff to address vehicle or supply issues.
  • Report vehicle or equipment concerns promptly to supervisors.
  • Support a positive work environment and represent the company professionally.
  • Reviews paperwork for accuracy and correct process.
  • Must participate in scheduled and unscheduled onsite compliance audits.
  • Implements corrective/preventive measures as determined by the Corporate Compliance/Audit Committee.
  • Cooperates with Internal Audit, Compliance and People Operations on any recommendations and changes to compliance and legal workflow issues.
  • Takes swift and immediate action in accordance with Internal Audit and Corporate Compliance on any areas of concern.
  • Complies and enforces all policies and procedures.
  • Has successfully completed all required Compliance Training within the required time period.
  • Has had no compliance-related corrective action during the current review period.
  • Participate in Safety and Risk training and activities.
  • Serves as a company representative promoting positive customer relationships through proactive involvement in public business and community activities.
  • Ensure that all safety and regulatory standards are met at all times.
  • Ensures a safe and productive work environment.
  • Be a steward of safety, that you and your peers operate safely, in an environment free from danger and risk.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
