About The Position

The Vehicle Supply Technician (VST) is accountable for stocking, cleaning, equipping, and issuing of units and necessary supplies to crews in preparation for field shifts. This role directs the movement, storage, or processing of inventory and provides accurate, timely, and customer-based service to reporting field crews to ensure efficient in-service times. The VST also delivers supplies to off-campus crews and returns used equipment to appropriate facilities. Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Physically and mentally able to operate an ambulance type vehicle.
  • Current Florida Driver License with driving record that meets company insurance requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to read/write/speak/understand English language fluently.
  • Proficient in MS Office platforms.
  • Standard/Specialized office equipment and software programs related to office processes.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains the highest standards of confidentiality in regards to electronic records and all forms of proprietary information.
  • Assigns the appropriate vehicle and issues medical supplies.
  • Recovers, cleans, and prepares exchange item equipment from hospitals.
  • Maintains a safe and clean work environment (including biohazard maintenance).
  • Performs necessary work of all functions pertinent to preparing and pre-launching start of shift and end of shift duties to prepare for next shift.
  • Complies with state, local, and federal laws (e.g. state & county inventory levels, OSHA).
  • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with all levels of staff and personnel.
  • Demonstrates excellent communication, cooperation and responsiveness with operations staff.
  • Observes and complies strictly with all HIPAA policies and regulations.
  • Maintains a safe and healthy workplace in accordance with all appropriate OSHA standards, company policies and standard operating procedures.
  • Attends continuing education pertinent to materials.
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.
  • Regular and prompt attendance is required.
  • Aligns with organization mindset of Just Culture.
  • Works with the organization to meet the standards set forth in CAAS.
  • Presents professional appearance and demeanor.
