About The Position

Medtrans is seeking a Vehicle Service Technician (VST) to support the readiness and reliability of our ambulance fleet. This role plays an important part in ensuring our vehicles are properly maintained, fully equipped, and prepared to deliver safe, timely, and high-quality patient transportation services.

Requirements

• Valid state driver’s license
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Acceptable driving record in accordance with company standards

Nice To Haves

• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification

Responsibilities

• Maintain ambulances in a clean, safe, and response-ready condition at all times.
• Ensure vehicles are properly stocked with required medical supplies and equipment.
• Perform daily inventory checks, update tracking logs, and submit requests for restocking as needed.
• Transport vehicles to and from scheduled maintenance and service appointments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date service and maintenance records for all assigned vehicles.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections, including checking fluids, batteries, and general mechanical condition; escalate issues to the Fleet Manager when necessary.
• Deliver supplies to stations and support inventory distribution across locations.
• Reposition and move vehicles between stations based on operational needs.
• Accurately complete required documentation and follow all company policies, procedures, and information security standards.
• Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to support smooth operations.
• Collaborate professionally with field crews, operations staff, and external healthcare and public safety partners.
