About The Position

Henley Companies, the largest franchisee of Valvoline Instant Oil Change, is seeking Vehicle Service Specialists. The company offers tools for success, whether you are looking for a part-time job with flexible hours or a full-time career with excellent advancement opportunities. They welcome all types of talent, regardless of background or experience, and provide training in services such as changing oil, checking/filling vehicle fluids, or inspecting/replacing lights and wipers. No prior experience in service centers is required, making it suitable for recent high-school graduates, seasoned professionals, veterans, or anyone in between.

Requirements

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Able to learn and follow the VIOC SuperPro process for all services.
  • Achieve SuperPro certification.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
  • Ability to inspect and replace car lights and wipers.
  • Ability to check fluid levels and add fluids to vehicle when necessary.
  • Ability to inspect/replace engine air filter and cabin air filter.
  • Ability to add oil to engine in the proper amount based on specifications of vehicle make/model.
  • Ability to remove/rotate/lift/reinstall tires for tire rotation service.
  • Ability to lubricate necessary components of the chassis/driveline.
  • Ability to perform additional services on cooling systems and transmissions.
  • Ability to perform second checks by visually verifying and performing proper callouts to ensure all necessary services have been performed correctly.
  • Ability to move from bay to bay to perform services on multiple vehicles.
  • Ability to work for extended periods of time with arms above your head when performing services underneath the vehicle on a catwalk.
  • Ability to constantly position self to perform required services under the hood, related to tires, or on catwalk working underneath the vehicle.
  • Ability to move/transport items up to approximately 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work with tools to perform duties in tight sometimes hard to reach areas.
  • Ability to communicate verbally and receive verbal communication to ensure services are performed accurately, safely and in the proper order.

Responsibilities

  • Provide exceptional customer service and address any concerns or questions.
  • Perform oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication services for vehicles.
  • Inspect vehicles for any potential issues or areas that require attention.
  • Conduct basic maintenance tasks such as tire rotations and fluid level checks.
  • Basic computer knowledge/aptitude
  • Keep track of inventory and ensure all supplies are readily available.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
