About The Position

This role is responsible for accurately inputting vehicle information into the AS400 Handheld Device using the Secure Check-in App, including VIN, stock number, dealer identification number, make, model, year, mileage, color, and options. The specialist will affix barcode/stock number stickers, place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles, flag "no key" cars, and direct transporters to the proper drop zones. They will also report transport damage, provide sale identification windshield codes, and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety by following all safety and health procedures. Additional duties may include assisting with driving vehicles through auction sales lanes on sale days, and potentially working overtime as business needs dictate.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Generally, less than 2 years’ experience in a related field.
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmission.
  • Basic computer skills required.
  • Regularly required to stand, walk, reach, talk and hear.
  • Frequently required to stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, squat and climb.
  • Ability to lift 1-15 pounds.
  • Vision abilities required include close, distance and color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to clear a pre-employment drug test (excluding marijuana for this position).

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of auction and/or vehicle registration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Input accurate vehicle information into the AS400 Handheld Device using the Secure Check-in App.
  • Affix barcode/stock number sticker on each vehicle received.
  • Place work order numbers and routing labels on vehicles upon entry.
  • Flag "no key" cars.
  • Direct transporters to proper car drop zone.
  • Report transport damage as needed.
  • Provide proper sale identification windshield code to the person who is driving vehicle through the registration/check-in area.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling the behaviors related to such.
  • Work in cooperation with safety leadership in support of all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
  • Assist on sale days driving vehicles through Auction sales lanes, etc.
  • May be required to work overtime (Over 40 hours) as business needs dictate.
