About The Position

The Service Technician interacts with customers professionally and courteously while receiving and discharging units at the Service Center. This role operates all makes and models of Vac-Con/Vector products to diagnose and repair unit deficiencies. The technician prepares accurate written and electronic documentation, completes service orders in a timely manner, and supports customer satisfaction through clear communication. The technician must work independently with limited supervision and collaboratively in a team environment. The role may also include assembly work, requires knowledge of the Vac-Con/Vector product line, and may involve limited-service operations as needed. This person must be well versed in CAN BUS technology.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• 3-5 Years Experience
• Ability to diagnose and repair various mechanical, hydraulic, water, and electrical systems.
• Must be willing to travel 30% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Identify operational deficiencies across all models of Vac-Con/Vector
• Identifies materials, parts and supplies needed to complete a repair in a safe and efficient manner. You must be able to operate Vac-Con/Vector products of all models.
• Deep understanding of CAN BUS protocols, multiplexing architecture, and the ability to read complex electrical schematics and blueprints. Follow prints and schematics as well as technical manuals. Also written and spoken instructions.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair Controller Area Network (CAN bus) lines, multiplex systems, and electronic control modules using digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and specialized scan tools
