About The Position

The Vehicle Maintenance Technician is a detail-oriented and dependable professional responsible for ensuring company vehicles are safe, compliant, and well-maintained. This role performs monthly Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports (DVIRs) on all company vehicles and coordinates necessary repairs with approved mechanics. The Vehicle Maintenance Technician follows all B&D policies and procedures while delivering consistent, high-quality service. Accuracy, reliability, and adherence to established regulations and standards are key measures of success in this role.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required
Relevant work experience may substitute for schooling

Responsibilities

Travel to various jobsites and other locations using a company vehicle to inspect vehicles and perform maintenance-related tasks
Conduct and document monthly DVIRs for all company vehicles using the company’s GPS tracking and inspection software
Check fluid levels, inspect tires, and verify that insurance and registration are current and present in the vehicle
Perform basic onsite vehicle maintenance, including but not limited to replacing wiper blades and topping off fluids
Transport vehicles in need of maintenance or repairs to preferred and approved mechanical service providers and return vehicles to drivers upon completion
Utilize computers, smartphones, company software platforms, and other tools effectively to complete job duties
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
Meet the physical demands of the role, including extended periods of sitting or standing, walking, lifting, pulling/pushing, and climbing
Apply strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills to identify and address vehicle maintenance needs
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned, which may vary based on business needs
