About The Position

The Vehicle Maintenance and Shuttle Coordinator (VMSC) is responsible for providing vehicle shuttle and maintenance services. This includes shuttling vehicles between McKenzie Health's facilities and nearby airports, ensuring vehicles are clean, fueled, and safe for use, and performing or scheduling routine maintenance and repairs. The VMSC also serves as the point of contact for vehicle users, tracks vehicle information, and ensures all vehicles are properly insured, registered, and equipped with necessary documentation and gas cards. The role may also involve courier duties and occasional evening/weekend work.

Requirements

  • Familiar and comfortable driving vehicles of various sizes, including standard shift.
  • Competent and willing to drive in adverse weather conditions.
  • Experience with basic vehicle maintenance and navigating.
  • Ability to multitask and make appropriate decisions on the fly.
  • Must be detail oriented and organized.
  • Pleasant and flexible personality.
  • Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
  • Ability to utilize cell phone, computer, and basic office equipment.
  • Speaks fluent English and can follow oral and written instructions.
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screening.
  • High school education.
  • Current driver’s license.
  • Acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinates and shuttles vehicles between McKenzie Health’s facilities and nearby airports utilizing a written schedule.
  • Ensures that each vehicle is clean (inside and out), fueled, fluids topped off, tires inflated properly, clear of ice/snow, and safe/serviceable for the next user.
  • Maintains a log; ensuring that oil changes, tire rotations, filter changes and other routine maintenance is performed per manufacturer schedules.
  • Schedules and coordinates vehicle repairs using approved repair shops.
  • Serves as the point of contact for all vehicle users.
  • Responsible for tracking vehicles, users, and keys for all vehicles leased, owned, or otherwise utilized by McKenzie Health.
  • Ensures that each vehicle is insured, registered, and that current/printed documentation is present in the vehicle.
  • Ensures each vehicle has a current gas card.
  • Parks vehicles in approved parking spaces when not in use.
  • Keeps garages and parking areas clean and usable.
  • May be required to work occasional evenings and weekends.
  • May function as a currier.
  • Other duties (related and unrelated) as assigned.
