About The Position

Naturescape of Greenville, SC, is seeking to hire a Vehicle Fleet & Small Engine Mechanic to maintain and repair our fleet of vehicles and a wide assortment of small-engine equipment. This role involves ensuring the uptime of a high-volume fleet across 41 locations, handling a dynamic mix of small engines (commercial mowers, blowers) and automotive vehicles (vans, pickup trucks). Responsibilities include routine maintenance, engine diagnostics, brake repairs, and annual safety inspections. The mechanic will use a tablet with custom-built asset management software to track inventory, log repairs, and manage service requests. The work environment is a fast-paced shop equipped with lifts and specialty tools, requiring the mechanic to provide their own primary toolbox. The role emphasizes a clean, organized, and productive workspace, with collaboration among a team of mechanics and a Fleet Manager. The company prioritizes 'learning by doing' through peer-to-peer collaboration.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and good driving record
  • Basic understanding of automotive and small engine mechanics (brakes, engines, and diagnostics)
  • Provide your own standard set of tools
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Motivated with a desire to learn

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and repair a fleet of vehicles and a wide assortment of small-engine equipment.
  • Ensure the uptime of a high-volume fleet across 41 locations.
