About The Position

Responsibilities: Assemble furniture and pre-cut wood inside vehicles Install and finish wood with Formica, paint, and fabric. Remove original vehicle panels and then be able to reassemble them. Run cables throughout a vehicle. Fabricate wood panels. Other duties as assigned by supervisor. What you need for this Position: Able to follow verbal and written instructions. Extremely detailed oriented, efficient, and organized. Ability to be ready to start work by scheduled time. Ability to work independently with limited supervision or in a team environment. Ability to safely lift up to 50 pounds to chest level. Follow all OSHA, EPA Safety Rules and Procedures. Must refer to MSDS when using any chemicals, substances and materials, understanding the MSDS information, and abiding by MSDS required personal protective equipment. Have the mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot problems on new equipment and/or repair work on older equipment is a plus. Have a high standard of quality of work. Ability to maintain an organized, neat, and safe work area. Computer knowledge and experience is a plus. Previous upfit on vehicles or marine vessels a big plus. May require some travel. Required education: High school or equivalent Required experience: 2+ years of experience in vehicle or similar types of fabrication and assembly. Have the mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot problems on new equipment and/or repair work on older equipment is a plus. Work Environment: This role is performed in a shop/warehouse environment with exposure to power tools, machinery, and moderate to high noise levels. May require standing, bending, kneeling, and working in confined spaces inside vehicles for extended periods. Tools & Equipment: Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, saws, drills, sanders, and measuring equipment. Experience using woodworking tools or fabrication equipment is preferred. Required Qualifications: Legal Requirement: Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen or lawful permanent resident) to comply with federal contracting regulations. Must be a US person as defined by ITAR. Language Proficiency: All candidates must be fluent in English, with the ability to speak, read, and write at a professional level.
