About The Position

The Vehicle Development team is seeking a collaborative engineer to support the development of Functional ECUs and Smart Security systems for vehicles. This role will contribute to building a North American electronics center of excellence while working closely with internal engineering teams and suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience as an Electrical Design Engineer.
• Strong problem-solving and interpersonal/communication skills.
• Ability to work up to 30% overtime.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in automotive/vehicle electronics development.
• Experience with CATIA.
• Experience with ECU, body electronics, smart security, immobilizer, or vehicle electrical systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support vehicle application of Functional ECUs, including Power Sliding Door, Power Tailgate, Seat, Window, Sunroof ECUs, etc.
• Work on Smart Security systems, including Smart ECU, Immobilizer, antennas, and related components.
• Plan system structure and design through target setting, packaging, and style feasibility.
• Balance performance, customer requirements, cost, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and issue design specifications to suppliers.
• Manage supplier schedules, performance, quality, and technical deliverables.
• Maintain part lists and engineering documentation.
• Issue engineering change instructions and wiring specifications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout vehicle development.
