The Vehicle Dynamics Tuning Engineer plays an integral part in the vehicle dynamics development by providing feedback to programs based on test results. Besides driving and testing vehicles, close communication with simulation engineers is important to help guide the program towards the requirements. Experience from proving grounds and tuning vehicles based on subjective evaluation is required. Hence, deep understanding of suspension and chassis architecture and components, and their effect on ride and handling is important.

Requirements

  • A minimum of a Bachelor of Science Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited university or equivalent
  • Experience in automotive engineering product development
  • Suspension architecture and development experience
  • Vehicle Ride and Handling Tuning or Development Experience
  • Proactive and Reactive problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Proficient use of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc)
  • Must be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience from cross functional interaction
  • Experience from proving grounds

Nice To Haves

  • Master of Science Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited university
  • Test Driving experience
  • Racing experience/background
  • Vehicle dynamics simulation experience
