About The Position

Courtesy Automotive Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Vehicle Acquisition Specialist to join their high performing team. This role is ideal for a sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has hands-on experience working a busy dealership service drive (80–110 repair orders daily). As a Vehicle Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for identifying, engaging, and converting service drive customers into high-quality vehicle acquisitions for our pre-owned inventory. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring the dealership maintains a strong, diverse, and profitable used car pipeline.

Requirements

  • 1–3+ years of automotive dealership experience required, specifically working in or directly with a service drive.
  • Proven success in sales, customer engagement, or vehicle acquisition roles.
  • Strong understanding of used vehicle values, appraisals, and market demand.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
  • Professional, confident, and customer-focused demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Actively engage service drive customers to assess potential interest in selling or trading their vehicles.
  • Evaluate customer vehicles for equity position, condition, and suitability for dealership acquisition.
  • Present clear, compelling acquisition or trade-in offers to customers.
  • Collaborate daily with Used Car Management to align on inventory needs and appraisal strategy.
  • Maintain consistent presence in the service drive and build positive rapport with customers and service advisors.
  • Track daily interactions, opportunities, and acquisition outcomes in CRM.
  • Support sales team with trade-in opportunities generated through service interactions.
  • Deliver a high-level customer experience that reflects dealership standards.
