About The Position

Toyota of Portland, a dealership part of the O'Brien Auto Group, is looking for Vehicle Acquisition Specialists to join the team. This position is paid 100% commission of personal production and unit counts or state Min Wage, whichever is greater. The percentages start at 25% and go up to 50% based off production. Subject to eligibility requirements, we offer the following benefits: Bonuses Vacation – based on hire date and paid based on position Medical/Dental/Vision/RX Ancillary Benefits such as Short/Long Term Disability, Accident, Critical Illness, Life Insurance, Spousal/Child coverages 401(k) plus company match Responsibilities to Include: Purchase Inventory in a manner consistent with the needs and wants of our Customers and Sales Consultants To Maintain a 45-day turn-wholesale, all cars that have not been test-driven at 20 days To buy and sell cars for the purpose of wholesale profit to offset wholesales losses To obtain the highest bids possible on trades we will not keep Assist all manager in appraising trade-ins Assist in reconditions of trades to get them through the show in a timely manner, as well as purchased cars Stock in and complete all of the needed paperwork on purchased vehicles Keep salespeople up to date on purchases as well as trade-ins Walk inventory at least once a week and make sure vehicles are Presentable. Check Inventory daily on AAX/Inventory software Assist Sales Managers on Appraisals Help with re-pricing when they hit 20 to 25 days old Assist managers in merchandising, marketing and pricing advertising and closing deals To Reach an immediate goal of 90 Pre-Owned Retail per month with steady growth eventually hitting and maintaining 100 per month Perform other duties assigned to management Regular attendance is essential Follow schedule provided by the Pre-Owned Manager Work in a cooperative, positive and professional manner Maintain professional demeanor while at work Conform to all company regulations and policies Equipment/Machines/Tools Typically Used: phone, computer, adding machine, copier, calculator, stapler, fax machine, pencils/pens, letter opener, scissors, and rulers. Physical Demands: Required long periods (80-90% of workday) of standing and walking (on showroom floor, on dealership lot including interior and exterior of building). Capable of walking extensively on concrete. Infrequent sitting, stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Lifting 20lbs or less and carrying 10lbs or less on a frequent basis. Frequent pushing and pulling, twisting and turning of trunk, reaching and handling of objects, occasional climbing, balancing and crawling. Candidates for this position must possess a valid Driver’s License and maintain an acceptable driving record in accordance with company policy.
