Requirements

  • H.S. diploma or equivalent
  • Must possess a current, valid driver’s license in good standing
  • Must have a current DOT medical card (MEC)
  • Minimum of 5 years experience operating specialized trucks and cutting equipment
  • Must be able to work up to six (6) days per week and 10–12 hours per day based on operational needs
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety
  • Ability to work in outdoor environments and perform physical, repetitive tasks
  • Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, field-based production settings

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience operating vegetation or tree-cutting trucks/equipment
  • Experience in forestry, vegetation management, or environmental field operations
  • Familiarity with saws, hydraulic cutting systems, and heavy equipment

Responsibilities

  • Operate vegetation and tree-cutting equipment, including trucks with hydraulic and/or power saws, booms, or cutting attachments
  • Operate an aerial lift and perform work while in an aerial lift
  • Cut, trim, and remove trees, limbs, brush, and vegetation in accordance with safety guidelines and project specifications
  • Read and follow work orders, maps, or instructions to identify required cutting locations
  • Receive and follow verbal instructions from a supervisor/foreman
  • Inspect equipment before, during, and after operation; report issues or defects immediately
  • Maintain safe operation of vehicles and cutting tools at all times
  • Ensure cut materials are safely placed, stacked, or staged for removal
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area and equipment
  • Follow all safety policies, procedures, and PPE requirements
  • Support production schedules and meet quality expectations consistently
  • Assist with other vegetation management or field support tasks as needed
